My last entry in my blog ever. My tour in Korea is offically over. As of right now I am at the Turumi Lodge at the Osan Air Force Base in osan, South Korea. I'm waiting for my flight right now. I can remember the first day I arrived here; nervous and no clue where to go once I got here. While I'm really going to miss my home for the past year and all of the new friends I made, I'm equally anticipating betting home as well. I can't wait to see my wife tonight at the airport. She is driving to Louisville and picking me up arounf 11:30 P.M. I miss her so much, especially these last few weeks leading up to my departure.

Thank you all for reading my pages and stories. I hope you enjoyed them. I will add the link to my new blog once I get to Colorado, so you can see the new chapter in my life. I'll be living in Colorado for the next 7 months, and I have no clue where I'll wind up after that. See you all later. It's been fun. Thanks.

Well, it is the 4th anniversary of the attacks on the World trade center and the Pentagon. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Time goes by too fast. i cna remember exactly where I was that day. I was driving in my car down Spearhead Ave. on Ft Knox, KY and listening to Howard Stern when he started asking what movie everyone was watching. Then he realized that it wasn't a movie, and that's when I found out. I remember driving back to the office as fast as I could and told everyone about it. We all went into the Chaplain's office and watched the news all day. It was one of those times you'll never forget where you were at.

Today I hung out at home and watched a few movoies and went over to McGraws room to play some video games. We have been trying to beat God of War for a week now, and have it almost beat.

Fornillos came to my room around lunch time and asked me if I'd like to go out for lunch with her. We went to a nice Korean restaurant off post. We got all this food for less than $10. All the restaurants in Korea are pretty cheap though. After that I went to the gym and worked out. Then I went for a run. That was pretty much it.

This is my room now. Not much left besides a pillow and my laptop computer left. I don’t even have a blanket, so Jung is letting me borrow his sleeping bag. The first night I nearly froze to death because I didn’t have anything. I would have been fine if it wasn’t for the fact that this room only has air conditioning right now. They don’t turn on the heaters until around October.

tn_DSC02993.JPG
Tonight I went bowling with my closest friends at the bowling alley on post. Since this is my last weekend here, I wanted to do something with all of them together. Here’s McGraw. He was using the excuse that his shoulder was sore and that’s why he was doing so bad.

tn_DSC02995.JPG
Jung and Kim were there too. Kim did pretty well. And Jung? Well, we won’t say how Jung did. Since my wife wasn’t bowling against me, I actually won both of the games, but that isn’t saying much since the highest score I ever got during the night was 114. Yeah, I won’t be joining any bowling team anytime soon.

Well I guess I can still send some updates, just not a regularly as I had been. I got computer access from a friend, so I can keep you all updated for now.

tn_DSC02977.JPG
Of course there isn't much to tell though. When you are clearing there isn't a whole lot of exciting news that happens. As you can see by my picture above, I dind't do a whole heck of a lot today.

tn_DSC02980.JPG
I did have an awards ceremony today though. A few soldiers from the Unit were getting awards and coins and whatnot. I even shined my boots for the occasion, which is a rarity because I hate shining boots.Look at em shine. Twinkle twinkle.

tn_DSC02986.JPG
That’s me with the Battalion Commander doing a cheesy pose for the camera. This folks, was the most exciting part of my day.

I had wanted to go running, but I didn’t because I was supposed to have the triathlon tomorrow. Well I got a text message on my phone around 8 P.M. from SSG Adams and she tells me that she is backing out. So I wasted my day after all. Boo hoo.

Sorry folks. I just had the movers come yesterday and pack all of my belongings up and put them on a ship for the U.S. This means that i don't have any more internet in my room, which means that i won't be able to write for a few days. I am in the process of signing out of Korea so that i can be on a plane to get back home to my wife next week. I'm sure you all understand.

Bue fearnot! I'll be back when I get to kentucky and will be sure to make up for the lost itme with tons of pictures and updates. it was a great time in korea, but I ma ready to leave now and get back home to my lovely wife. I'll miss all of my friends that I made here; most of all Jung, Kim, McGraw, Choi, and Fornillos to name a few. Take care everybody. be sure to keep in touch with me and let me know how you are all doing. Bye.

7 Days left in Korea!!!!

Oh my God I am so bored! I have literally accomplished nothing at all today. I walked over to work and picked up my memorandum so that I can get my orders tomorrow. That was the most productive thing I have done all day. McGraw and I caught a cab to Electronics Market so that I could show him where to get a Mod Chip installed in his PS2.

I got back and was to lazy yo go get anything to eat, so I called Popeye's chicken and ordered a 16 piece so that I'd have some food for the next few days.

Yesterday I pretty much spent the day doing the same thing I am now. I packed my things into a couple of suitcases that I am taking on the plane with me. Everything else the movers are going to take on Thursday. Tomorrow I have an appointment in the morning to turn in my equipment and try to get some clearing done. Other than that my day will be pretty much free. That should leave me time to get a work out in. I haven't done any exercising for the past 4 days now and it's starting to show. OK, sorry you wasted your time reading this boring mess, but it's all I have to post. See y'all later!

I am in love. I got a new LCD flat screen TV today. It is the most awesome thing I have ever boght. I was watching Tv and checking my email at the same time today. As a matter of fact, I don't think I'll ever leave my room ever again. All I need is right in my living room. Did I mention that it's awesome?

tn_DSC02962.JPG
I had to work at the chapel today. Today was my last Sunday working in Korea. I took this picture of my last chapel set-up. Goodbye Memorial Chapel!

tn_DSC02963.JPG
Well after work, I stopped by McGraws room to see whatvhe was up to. He was watching all the episodes of Smallville and drinking a few beers. After 9 beers, McGraw couldn't hang on anymore and had to go visit Mr. Poo bowl. I wish I could show you the hilarious video of this guy. Right after this picture was taken he was drinking a beer while resting his head on the toilet seat. Hilarious!

tn_DSC02971.JPG
After leaving McGraws when he passed out, I went with Marillo out to Itaewon to a bar. I had one drink and didn't really feel like staying any longer, so I headed back home to my awesome newTV. Oh the way home, I had about 25 hookers try to get me to step inside their room. I found that if you try and take a picture of the though, they run away. Here is one right after she asked me to come in. I'll have to keep my camera handy with me from now on. They run away like a ......well, like a hooker from a church.

funny Picture

One more thing I almost forgot. 12 Days left in Korea!!!!

Today we drove up near the DMZ to visit some Koreans that work in our unit. On the way up there we passed this cool looking restaurant. They took a ship, added a bunch of windows and made it a restaurant. Pretty cool.

tn_DSC02897.JPG
We had to go through this checkpoint in the middle of a bridge to get the the North/ South Korean border.

tn_DSC02901.JPG
After visiting with the Koreans we drove down the road a ways to the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone). It's the border that separate the two Koreas.

tn_DSC02903.JPG
Ah yes, the stupid american degrading another wonderful Korean statue.

tn_DSC02904.JPG
Inside the circle of this monument is North Korea on one side and South Korea on the other, and the people are attemping to put the circle together.

tn_DSC02914.JPG
We took a tour of the 3rd tunnel while we were there. The 3rd tunnel was dug by North Korea in hopes of sneaking in South Korea. South Korea happened to discover the tunnel by accident when they were blasting near the area. Today it's a tourism attraction that allows you to walk down a portion of the tunnel to the North/Suth line. And there is actually a line that divides the two sides too.

tn_DSC02917.JPG
SGT Arman and Chaplain Horovitz had an arguement who could do the most push-ups, but the Chaplain cheated on his. Of course we didn't tell him that none of them counted until after bhe already did 80 of them.

tn_DSC02922.JPG
After that we drove up to a look out area at a Korean Army base. This photo is of North Korea. It's hard to see, but you can see the large North Korean flag in the far distance. I was told that Soldier of Fortune magazine has offered $1,000,000 to anyone who cna steal the flag. I don't think it would ever happen. The whole place is guarded 24/7 and the flag is about 150 feet in the air. I probably wieghs over 100 pounds too it's so huge. So I think it's safe to say that it will never go anywhere.
